Meet the Keynote Speakers of the 2022 Women's Leadership Conference

I'm excited for the opportunity to introduce you to the 2022 Women's Leadership Conference Keynote Speakers! The theme of this year's conference is Be Bold. Be You. Do you have big ambitions and plans for your career? BE BOLD. BE YOU. These accomplished women will speak on a variety of topics to allow you to step confidently into achieving your personal and professional goals.

Denise is the President and Owner of The Effective Communication Coach, LLC, a consultancy focused on transforming emerging and existing professionals into extraordinary leaders by mastering the art of effective communication.

What is “Imposter Syndrome” and its impact on my effective leadership? In this session we will identify your personal values, beliefs, and pursuits while creating and adopting a MVP (Mission Vision Purpose) statement. We will learn and apply effective self-dialogue techniques as part of your leadership development, as well as best practices to influence authentic and high performance for yourself and other Women on a daily basis.

With 19 years of experience within Fortune 500 companies, Denise has honed the ability to deliver and receive messages across language, cultural, and communication-style barriers. She has been recognized for excellence in leadership from companies including Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana, PepsiCo, General Electric, and MillerCoors. Denise continues her focus on empowering people by traveling and teaching effective communication to professionals worldwide including Egypt, China and Israel.

Ali Starr started her own business, Tashi Deley, to pursue a passion and a dream. It is a Tibet greeting that means “I honor the greatness within you.” Prior to creating Tashi Deley she served as the Vice President of Culture Development at Verve, a Credit Union. She had the privilege of being able to positively influence Verve's culture as shown through the latest Gallup engagement score, 34-1. This is 7 times greater than Gallup's average score for employee engagement.

Tashi Deley has developed a tool to assist you in creating the next best version of yourself. This tool is called eNLiGHTENMENT. eNLiGHTENMENT assists us in our practice of obtaining a higher level of Emotional Intelligence.

You will learn the importance of practicing the art of honoring the greatness within yourself and others by better understanding and being able to regulate your emotions. In this session you will better understand how your past experience can influence your fight, flight or fix triggers, resulting in an emotional hijack. You will be reminded your brain's main function is to save your life, however, your brain can't always detect if you are in “real danger” or if someone simply “struck your nerve.”

Through her experiences, Ali has discovered serving one another is key to fostering an exceptional team culture. She believes when you take care of your team, your team will take care of your customers, and the results will follow. In 2016, she was named a Finalist in the CUES Next Top Credit Union Executive Competition in Savannah, Georgia. Most recently, she shared one of her messages via a TEDx Talk.

She lives by the motto: “Who you are is good enough; don't ever stop creating the next best version of yourself. It feels great to grow.”
